Susan Sayre Batton
Susan Sayre Batton is Oshman Executive Director at San Jose Museum of Art (SJMA) since April 2017. She joined the museum in October 2015 as deputy director for curatorial affairs, and launched exhibition and co-acquisition partnerships with LACMA, the Hammer Museum and MCA Chicago. SJMA’s recent Propeller Group exhibition was featured in the New York Times, and the museum’s 2017 Diana Al-Hadid exhibition opens at the Bronx Museum in May. She has held positions at Dia Art Foundation, where she was managing director of Dia:Beacon; the Hammer Museum; and the Honolulu Museum of Art, where she organized the exhibition Won Ju Lim: In Many Things to Come in 2007.
