Anita is President of Pall Mall Art Advisors. A member of the Appraisers Association of America and USPAP certified, she has testified as an specialist witness in major court cases involving art valuations and regularly lectures on topics relating to art, collection, and appraising. Ms. Heriot grew up in a family of Art Collectors. A graduate of Bowdoin University with advanced degrees from University of London and New York University, she started her career at Sotheby’s of NY. After several years as an independent appraiser, Gurr Johns brought her on as an appraiser in their NYC office. Prior to starting Pall Mall Art Advisors, Ms. Heriot ran both the British & Continental furniture and decorative arts department and appraisals department for Samuel T. Freeman & Company in Philadelphia.
