JD Beltran is an artist, filmmaker, writer, curator, designer, and educator. She has exhibited internationally, including at the SFMOMA, the Walker Art Center, the Getty Institute, The International Film Festival Rotterdam, the MIT Media Lab, and the Sydney Biennale. She has been awarded fellowships and residencies from Global Art Lab, Stochastic Labs, the Workshop Residency, Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, and Artadia. Her work was awarded the New Technological Art Award (2014), for creating one of the top art + technology artworks worldwide. Beltran is President of the San Francisco Arts Commission and an Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Art + Public Life at the California College of the Arts. She also was faculty at the San Francisco Art Institute from 2002-2018.
